Fish Room Tour - Pro Guppy Breeder - Bob Crouse

Here's Bob at the Aquatic Experience in Schaumburg, IL Finally I have Guppies Months I ago I reached out to the head of the Guppy Associates International Chicago to find a guppy breeder from my area. It was imperative to me to start with quality stock accustomed to my existing tap water parameters. After a few emails Bob was able to guide my tank to meet his parameters. Once cycled I reached out to take a trip to his Fish Room! In addition to guppies, Bob breeds Bristlenose Plecos as well; I picked up an albino juvenile. Here he's grabbing the reverse trio of multi's that I selected to take home. Bob said he's mostly known for his work with Greens & Blues. Thanks Bob! More to come from my own tank; Stay Tuned! Let's Get It Cycled! 35 Gallon Hex Tank

Let the cycling begin! 2 Aquarium Heaters, I have them set at 74 Degrees. The use of two heaters puts lets run time on both, thus extending the life of each. Coral Life T5 that I already owned was too wide for the tank. My dad was nice enough to cut it down for me. Now it fits perfectly! Crushed coral substrate from eBay. The 30 Gallon HEXAGON

Always loving the look of Hexagon Aquariums, I kept a constant watch on Craigslist for a good deal. A couple of weeks ago there was a post for a 30 Gallon Hexagon for $30. I called, zoomed over and carried it out of dudes basement. Still haven't done a leak test but if there's an issue I'll just re-caulk. The seller was very generous but didn't have a stand. My first DIY goal is to create a stand.
