The Hex Build - Stand - Part 1

Building the Stand

Turns out the internal angles of a Hexagon are 120 degrees. This leads to a 60 degree cut for each piece.

Both my table saw and miter box can cut at a 30 degree angle. Basically keep in mind that every cut at 30 degrees leaves a 60 degree cut on one of the pieces.

After a ton of planning my brother and I started cutting.

I used 2x8's that I had in stock.
  1. First cut two 8' board into 3 pieces - 6 @ 32" for the legs
  2. Then ripped them down the middle  - 12 @ 32"
  3. Set the table saw at 30 degrees, ripped each leg, kept the 60 degree side
